PAP Use of The 1964 Riots

There were some PAP supporters who were angry when I pointed out that their party lied about the 1964 race riots.

I had shown a clip of Dr Poh Soo Kai, a PAP and Barisan Sosialis founder saying that the riot was sparked by a bottle thrown from the Kallang flats during the maulidur Rasul procession.  The occupants of those fats were Chinese.

This is not a new revelation.  Many Malays know about the bottles thrown.  Some of us have relatives who were in the procession and experienced it first hand.

And yet, the PAP’s lies are strong.  Most Singaporeans believe their fiction without question.

So let me give another piece of evidence.

In his article “Being Chinese under official multiculturalism in Singapore”, Chua Beng Huat stated:

“In the1964 Maulud (Prophet Muhammad’s birthday) celebration, the Malay/Muslim procession, which started out from the City Hall towards the Malay part of the island, was attacked by Huaren (the Chinese) before the procession reached its destination; 22 people were killed and 454 injured…”

The Malays were attacked by some Chinese who were agitated by Lee Kuan Yew and the PAP.

And the PAP has consistently raised the spectre of the riot to blame and suppressed the Malays.

When will the PAP take responsibility for their actions, their violence and their racism?
